Refurbishment to bars, restaurants, clubs, shops, accommodation, arcades and coffee shops.

To satisfy the sophisticated expectations of today’s discerning Holiday Park guests, design now plays a very important role in refurbishment projects. Most of the projects featured within this section encompassed design, fit-out, floor-coverings, lighting, furniture and project management with Chadwick Design as main contractors to provide the finishing touches to their own projects.

Using bright, modern colours, tired bars and clubrooms were transformed, offering a modern but classy atmosphere for guests to enjoy drinking and entertainment.
Coffee shops and novelty outlets have been constructed in wasted corners of existing rooms to help maximise retailing opportunities. Holiday accommodation is provided with ether partial or total make-over packages.
Care was always taken to ensure that all tastes and age groups were considered and many of these projects have been completed on low budgets.
Sandford Holiday Park
Holten Heath, Poole, Dorset

The interior of a very dated Holiday Park was transformed from individual rooms into a spacious, open plan area incorporating drinking, eating and entertainment along with a children’s novelty gift shop and Guest services and reception area. The challenge was to ensure that each area looked sufficiently different to distinguish it from another, whilst providing a continuity of colour scheme throughout.
The company worked in conjunction with building contractors, Midas Construction Limited, and electrical engineers throughout the 2 year planning stages and our own flooring and furniture contractors delivered the finished project in time for the official opening on Wednesday 5th April 2006.

Hedges House Residential Care Home, Lytham
Total Refurbishment programme

This home was in need of a total refurbishment but now offers a luxurious, hotel style environment for its 27 residents.
Working closely with the new owners, a rolling programme of refurbishment to bedrooms and public areas, is now virtually complete. Care was taken to ensure that schemes were tasteful and not too contemporary, in sympathy with the tastes of the elderly and the Victorian property, although some of the smaller rooms were brightened with light furniture and decoration. All refurbished rooms conform and comply in every respect with standards laid down by the Commission for Social Care Inspection.
The Avenue Restaurant and Bar, Brockhall Village, Blackburn Lancashire
Design and fit.

Brockhall Village is a new way of luxury. Within its extensive grounds in the heart of the Ribble Valley, luxury houses are protected by 24 hour security and have access to a hotel, creche and The Avenue cafe, bar and restaurant. We designed, manufactured and installed the Corian topped bar in The Avenue and, working closely with the client, achieved a very modern yet stylish finish, designed to stand the test of time.

Cube Footwear, Minden Parade, Bury
Design and fit within Shopping Centre re-development programme.
The Cube Footwear
project was one of three of our commissions within the new development.
Our client’s brief was straight forward - “a minimal design based
on cubes.” The colourful range of footwear for ladies required plain
shop fittings which optimised the visual merchandising with which customers
identify.

Our client was attracted to the Mono range of shopfitting and bespokely manufactured wall display cubes. The Mono Vitrashop system with its adjustable arms and shelving makes it possible to display all sorts of footwear, whilst the cubes are for single and smaller displays.
A good balance between the two display systems ensures that many ranges of footwear and accessories can be displayed all year round.
Janet Isherwood Jewellery, Rawtenstall Lancashire
Design, refurbishment and fit.
As designers themselves, our clients required a shop which reflected the modern elegance of their bespoke jewellery.
Restricted in space, the directional illumination in each showcase accentuates the merchandise and the concept is completed by the use of copper laminates, frosted glass, tiled flooring and attention to detail.
Ian Henry Salons, Liverpool
Total Refurbishment

Working with the architect on this project, we undertook this City centre hairdressing salon from its original “seventies” style to a very new and appealing environment for clients to enjoy. Most of the fittings were bespokely manufactured and the bright colours in the retail area of the salon show the products to their best advantage.
Brown Sugar Hair Design
Atherton, Lancashire
The new proprietor of this salon wanted to change its dated appearance to a much more modern look which would appeal to existing and new clients alike.
The project was completed within 5 days.

The Beaumont Hospital, Bolton
Design and Refurbishment

Part of the BMI Healthcare Group, the private Beaumont Hospital is a Victorian property surrounded by beautifully kept gardens. The brief was to refurbish a suite of 16 bedrooms followed by the main reception and all consulting rooms.
Care was taken to observe the age and splendour of this building although the scheme needed to reflect the fact that the hospital is a part of a large organisation with a modern, corporate image. This is reflected in the use of the Group’s corporate colours in both the reception area and the suite of bedrooms, both of which are in a newer section of the building. In the old building, the consulting rooms were given a more opulent treatment and swags and tails were used to emphasise the style of the windows, which directly overlook the gardens.
Blackburn Northern Tennis Club
Design, and supply of soft furnishings

Blackburn Northern Tennis Club is a multli-sport club with a variety of facilities. This thriving club has recently undertaken an ambitious development programme. As part of this development Chadwick Design has recently completely refurbished its clubhouse, creating a stylish members lounge utilised by club members and a modern function room used by club members and members of the community. This was officially opened by the Rt. Hon Jack Straw, the foreign secretary, on June 24th 2005.
Sheffield United Football Club
Bramall Lane, Sheffield
Directors’ Restaurant, and Board Room

This was a Design and Management project working in conjunction with building contractors who provided a bare shell for us to furnish.
The design brief was to use the Club’s colours in a modern and creative manner whilst avoiding a “football shirt” look.
The area is used on match days to entertain visiting teams’ Directors and is now open to the public as a Restaurant.
The chandelier is the centre point of the staircase and was manufactured by F2O who specialise in futuristic fibre optic designs.
